Essential Commands

Essential Commands for beginners. Use the contents list on the right to navigate quickly.

Communication

Commands to message other players in private.

/pm [user] [message]

Sends a private message to a user. Example: /pm Ryoyo hey this is a message

/r [message]

Send a reply to the last user you received a message from. Example: /r hey this is a reply

You can left-click with your mouse on a username in the chat to have /pm [user] put into chat for you.

Public Teleports

There are some public locations users can teleport to at any time.

/spawn

Teleports you instantly to the Server-Spawn.

/warp market

Teleports you instantly to the public market. This is the only warp on the server currently.

/pa lobby

Teleports you instantly to the minigame-lobby.

Your inventory in the minigame lobby is seperate from your survival inventory and will return to you upon exiting the minigame world with any command that teleports you back, like /spawn or /home.

Homes

Currently, players have 1 home they can set and teleport to at any time with no cooldown via a command. It is recommended to set this at the location of your base or wherever you'd like to build your base.

/sethome [name]

Saves your current location as your home. A name is optional and does not need to be entered. Repeating this command will override your previous /sethome location.

/home [name]

Teleports you to the location of your /sethome. Again, a name is optional.

/delhome [name]

Deletes your saved home. If you did not use a name, use /delhome home instead.

Lag-Check

/tps

If you suspect that the server is lagging, type /tps into the chat. This will show you the servers average ticks per second in the last 5 seconds / 10 seconds / 1 minute / 5 minute / 15 minutes. A tps of 20 is optimal performance and means that there is no server-side lag.

For more information on what TPS is and what it means, you can read the article here.

/ping

If you're suspecting network problems, you can use /ping to measure your ping.

Ping is the time it takes for you to send and then receive a packet from the server, measuring the network latency between you and the server. Generally speaking, the lower the better - Anything between 50ms and 200ms will be generally speaking very playable in survival. This might differ on PvP-centric servers. You might also experience lags because your computer or network connection can't keep up with the tick-speed.

For more information on Ping and the relationship of Ping and Ticks in Minecraft, you can read a great thread about this topic here.

Miscellaneous

/back

Teleports you to the location that you last teleported to with one of the commands listed further above.

/pvp

Toggles your PvP state. Has a 10 second cooldown. PvP is disabled by default. If you plan on doing PvP, both players need to have PvP enabled.

/afk

Sets your AFK-Status. Is also shown in TAB. Does not prevent you from getting damaged or killed and you will still be kicked from the server after 10 minutes of AFK. Shows you as returned upon movement or execution of a command.
