PyroFishing
PyroFishing aims to overhaul the fishing experience to make it more interesting, engaging and earn you some money in the process. A fair warning: PyroFishing can be fairly complex and time-consuming.
Getting started
While all you need to get started is a fishing rod, it's generally recommended to have some enchantments on your rod such as Lure
, Luck
and Mending
.
Once you start fishing, you will notice that alongside the vanilla fish, you will also fish up different custom fish in different tiers. Different biomes will contain different fish that inhabit them. To find out which fish live where, check out the Codex.
Fish Tiers
Fishes come in different tiers that have different chances to be cought and can be sold for different amounts of money.

Commands
This section will explain the commands but also all of the sub-menus in the main fish menu and what you can do with them.
/fish menu
Opens the GUI with all sub-menus that are listed below. Can also be opened by pressing shift + rightclick
while holding a fishing rod.
/fish stats
Shows you how many fish you caught, which tiers and more. Also shows you your current level, how much Entropy
you have and how much fishing XP you need to get to the next level.
/fish shop
You can sell your fish in this GUI. Tier sell-prices are shown by hovering over the piece of paper. On the left you can find the current 'special fish' that sells for more money than regularly. These change periodically.
/fish deliveries
Every 200 caught fish, you can find a fish delivery quest. To receive the delivery reward, you will have to turn in a selection of fish. The reward and requirements to complete the delivery are shown when hovering over the delivery-quest. If you don't know where to find certain fish, use the /fish codex.
Once you have all of the fish needed to turn in the delivery, simply click on the delivery to turn it in. This will start the delivery process, which will take a set amount of time, varying from delivery to delivery, after which you can claim your rewards.
Make sure you have inventory space when claiming your reward or you will not receive it!
At the bottom of this GUI, you will also find several upgrade options you can purchase with Entropy.
Upgrades
Increase Capacity: Increases the amount of slots you have for deliveries.
Overclocked: Reduces the time taken to deliver all of your deliveries.
Expert Deliverer: Reduces the amount of fish needed for a fishing delivery. Only applies to normal deliveries.
Pay Rise: Earn more entropy from handing in your deliveries.
Lucky Charm: Reduces the amount of fish you need to fish up to obtain a delivery.
/fish codex
Shows you all the different fish in their tiers, information about them, catch conditions and the player who was the first to catch them.
/fish scales
You can place any fish you caught in this menu, select a risk you're willing to take on the right hand-side and then weigh the fish by clicking on the anvil. By weighing a fish, it will become either more or less valuable for selling them at the /fish shop
.
/fish bag
You can use the fish bag as extra inventory space to keep fish in. Simply drag and drop the fish into it.
/fish gut
You can gut fish in this menu to gain entropy. You will find the exchange rate by hovering over the nether star in the same menu.
/fish augment
In this menu you can apply crafted augments, or remove augments for entropy crystals. Here you will also find information on the different augments and how to craft augments by hovering over the Book and Quill
at the top of the menu. By clicking on the Book and Quill, you will find the different augments and their materials.
Custom Drops
Mobs
Crabs
Occasionally, you will fish up crabs (silverfish). When fishing, there's a 5% chance to fish up a crab (unless using augments increasing this chance). Crabs have a 20% chance to drop a Crab Claw
, as well as a 20% chance to drop Crab Scales
which can both be used to craft augments.
Dolphin tails
Dolphins have a 70% chance to drop a Dolphin Tail
when killed, which can be used to craft augments.
Squid Tentacles
Squid have a 10% chance to drop a Squid Tentacle
when killed, which can be used to craft augments.
Misc Items
Platinum Lure
Obtainable through deliveries. Boosts your chance to find platinum fish by 250%.
Mythical Lure
Obtainable through deliveries. Boosts your chance to find mythical fish by 250%.
Crab Lure
Obtainable through deliveries. Boosts your chance to find Crabs by 200%.
Entropy Booster
Can be obtained through delivieries. Comes in different tiers. Boosts all entropy you get from catching fish. Does not affect gutting or perception. Lasts 30 minutes.
Entropy Crystal
Contains 10.000 Entropy. Can be created in the /fish augment GUI.
Augments
Augments are custom enchants you can add to your fishing rod after crafting them.
To make augments, you need to get all the required ingredients, (except entropy which will just be deducted from your total) and throw them into a cauldron filled with water. Make absolutely sure that all the ingredients are in your cauldron in exact(!) amounts. You can only craft one augment at a time!
After you have thrown all the ingredients for one augment into the cauldron, hit the cauldron with your fishing rod and the augment will be crafted and thrown onto the ground. If you don't have the required level for the augment, you will not be able to craft it. All of the different effects of augments, as well as their levels and crafting requirements can be found here.
Fishing Totem (Level 20)
Once you've reached fishing level 20, you can build a fishing totem. The fishing totem is a multi-block structure that allows you to get special effects in a certain radius on a time-limit with a cooldown. You can find out how you have to build it by clicking on the totem in /fish menu.
After building the totem, you can right-click
the lower observer with your fishing rod
to activate it, if you have all the necessary items.
To activate the fishing totem you need to have these items in your inventory when right-clicking
the observer with your fishing rod:
6x Platinum Fish
16x Crab Scales
16x Crab Claws
16x Dolphin Tails
16x Squid Tentacles
Breaking the totem after it has been activated will give you a special item so you can move it around and place it down again without needing to spend the cost.
You can find all Totem Upgrades and Effects here.
